Привет,

I just wonder whether there's an English or German panel. I'm asking this because I saw that a few of Interflug's IL-62 had lots of German titles in the flight deck. Furthermore it would be more easy to get into handling the aircraft with Latin letters in the cockpit.

Greetings and Thanks

No, not yet. Would make sense only if the original gauge and panel inscriptions would be known. A while ago, I asked around in several German forums and on Interflug fan sites to get an Interflug Il-62 manual or a copy, but that wasn't successful.

Oh okay.

I also asked some people whether they have photos of the IL. Let's see...

Just a blind try:

how about trying Lillienthal museums Lady Agnes? She might have German titles, and I guess museum people could let you document it.

Also important: See if you can get lighttest in that one, at least Czech 154s also had lights translated.

Hi Michael,
today I found out that the former Interflug library is now hosted by the library of the Technical University of Dresden.

They have all the books you dream of Радостный :

IL-62 Airliner Manual
Betriebsdatenhandbuch IL-62
Flugzeughandbuch IL 62 FZH-62
I don't know whether it is possible to do a interlending.

I live just 8km from the Technikmuseum Merseburg and they have a IL62 as well. I know you had no luck, when you asked to take photographs, but I could ask there as well.

Best regards,
Jürgen

Yeah... but those files can't be downloaded either way. So we'd need somebody to go to Dresden Смех

First of all thanks Jürgen for the info. I had indeed tried at Magdeburg, I hope you'll have more luck.

Hey, that would be great, Paule ! Хорошо

Thanks Paule for this offer. I assume that this manuals are way too thick to copy them complete. Maybe Michael can tell you what is needed.
Due to my limited time I can ask in Merseburg at the earliest in February, but I will not forget. Otherwise remember me by pn.

@Fabo: yes there is Lady Agnes as well, but too far. 20km from me is a third IL62 parked. But its inside EDDP and you may need special connections to get there. These planes are 16 years after the Interflug grounding in a bad and sad shape and the airport does nothing... Грусть

Allright, I managed to find some very high resolution photos of a German IL-62 cockpit: http://www.flickr.com/photos/taken_by_tom/sets/72157603692225751/ . The photograph wants to take them offline as soon as possible, so could one of the developers please download them ?

Click the (+) Symbol above the picture and then choose the highest resolution !

Special thanks to Thomas Funke Улыбка

mikealpha

I´ve studied those pics and concluded that they could be a great help for editing a german panel. I´d do the bitmaps if I had the original blank bitmaps without russian descriptions.

Is there any chance to get them from the original developer?
