Hi Friends:

As you have noticed Project Tupolev moved to another domain. Everthing else is the same. Those who are members can login with their account-name and password as used at the old domain.

Kind regards

Walter

I just see gibberish on the Russian language forums. Before the new domain, it showed correctly in Cyrillic.

Hi Ken:

There are some hickups with the new domain. As I dont know Russian and the administrator BostoN doesnt know English, I propose send him a P.M. in Russian.

Kind regards

Walter

For me it does show in Cyrillic, it might depend on your web browser or if it's in Russian language or not.

Also, changing the locale might help...

For me either. I can get a page to show correctly, once, but as soon as I go to a link it reverts to gibberish. The old domain didn't do this.

yep, same here!
I guess it's a matter of the default language settings on the computer.

Yes, indeed it does work, but it then makes navigating the site a giant pain in the A** for non Russian speaking people. The old domain didn't do this, so it is more likely a setting server side that is munged.

Might be a stupid question, but if you don't speak Russian, why would you want to fix that unreadable"gibberish" anyway?

Personally I speak some Russian, so for me it's fine. But the forum should work normally on internet explorer. Again, this might depend on the regional language of the computer.

Because every now and then you might get a piece of information which eluded the English forums, or just bump into an interesting discussion....

The capabilities of Google translate had improved dramatically over the last couple of years, you know....
