Hi:

Only to avoid misunderstandings:

After engines running and generators online "APU OFF!" (65 c) (and groundpower should be already off).

To save time:
In step 70 RIGHTCLICK on one of the pressure valves pressurizes both ducts.

In the real plane the FI did hold up both valves at the same time.

Thanks so much

Walter

Thanks. I read about the right-click short-cut but preferred the way I have it. Since you say that in the real a/c both switches were activated together, I can add that option (though of course the guide is not intended as a replacement for the manual).

Have left No95 blank. Can't find out what this switch does..

OK Walter, thanks, but I am afraid I am not 100% clear on this...

What about the identical-looking switch (No.4 in the manual), directly above the one in question? It's labelled УВИД. The 'tooltip' when you hover the mouse over it says 'Electrical Altimeter Power'. It is called 'Electrical Power for electrical altimeter UBID-15' (УВИД) in the pdf manual.

The switch below it, which I was originally asking about (No.20 in the pdf manual), clearly does power on the digital altimeter, as you told me. This is labelled (as you said) ВБЗ-1. (Isn't that 'VBZ-1'?? I assume the VBE-1 is similar (earlier version?) to the VBE-2A?).

So, my best guess at the moment is that switch No.4 is for the UBID-15 altimeter and switch No.20 the VBE-1. But which is the UBID-15 altimeter? The analogue one?

Thank you.

LATER:

OK, it is. I couldn't find anything for UBID-15 on Google before I posted the above, but I just tried "УВИД-15" and found this:

pdf updated..

No need to reply! Thanks again.

OK, startup guide is ready. I've posted it to AVSIM.

Guides primarily (as all the guides I have done (AVSIM)) for me, but I hope others continue to find them useful.

Thanks again to Walter for his answers to all my questions.

Martin
