The flight engineer station is in the right side of this photo.

No clues. But I do not expect the release until the end of this year.

Yes. My bad, it is navigator position. Смущение

Thanks for the reply.

The engineer side is missing it's gauges, that's what I'm putting together. Would go a hell of a lot faster if my real-life commitments would permit it Грусть

You are telling us that the engineer station will be functional? Удивление

That's more of a question for Kirill himself, but I'm doing everything on it for animation, so that gives the possibility.

Thank you very much Adonis. Хорошо for your effort. And Thanks team. Улыбка

Vlad, the FS9 version have a functional NV-PB system. The original idea of Kirill was make a similar version for FSX (with all navigation systems, but with the lack of engineering systems, like the FS9 version).

Maybe, as they did with the 154B2 they will add some improvements.

Engineering systems would be perfect if possible, yet understandable if not implemented due to the massive code needed. Il-62 is not as pilot friendly as the Tu-154, this I do not believe you can multitask as much between the crew jobs. Especially not if you use the NV-PB system which is much more accurate than NVU, yet not user friendly.

Either way, I've been waiting for the Il-62 for years and I am happy things are finally going ahead. It's a pity the real aircraft is almost out of service these days...

Hi:

Even in complex simulations with FI workstations after startup and systems activation there is not so much to do for the FI as long as no emergency occurs. The Tu-154M has many automated systems (fuel, heating, air presure system, electrics, hydraulics) which had to be wachted by the FI but not be manipulated. As long as there are no system failure occurences programable various computers (analog still) are running the systems. In the PT Tu-154M the FS9 "FI" has only to change the values for pressuresystem before landing. In DM flightsims complex Comets the "FI" has to change the airpressure target values after T.O. and befor landing and configure the fuel systems after T.O and befor landing. Is not much more like in my Cessna 150 I learned to fly for real.

Same would be in an simulated IL-62. So deciding between Navigators station and FI station for me is easy: The navigators post has priority. One understands that much better "flying" the cited example of DMґs wonderful Comets. Qickly you miss a navigators station workling like in the real airplane.

Kind regards

Walter

Any news about the IL-62M? I'm really looking forward to fly that plane in FSX.

Hi there is a FS9/FSX model by Edgar Guinart Lopez:

http://www.avsim.su/f/fs2004-originalnie-samoleti-40/fs2004fsx-aeroproyecto-il-62m-v2-0-58065.html?action=download&hl=

http://www.avsimrus.com/f/fs2004-aircraft-liveries-and-textures-39/aeroproyecto-il-62m-2-0-update-58696.html?action=download&hl=

The panel of that simulation lacks many functions of the PT-panel. But it can be "flown" with the PT panel in FS9, some things like landing lights dont work well.
Using the PT aircraft.cfg file would need some corrections (e.g. contact points, lights) in that case.

The visual model lacks also the IL-62 typical dogteeth on the leading edges of the wings.

So finally I stood with the PT "genuine draft" as for me in FS9 the Guinart Lopez model doesnt offer more.

For users of FSX it could be a provisional solution.

Kind regards

Walter

Hi friends:

In the side panel of IL-62 blue panel (the PT original one) the power switch is here:

please see my attachment

Did not note it as I have always put that switches up before T.O.

Kind regards

Walter

Hi Walter!

Thanks for your effort. This switch is labeled both in the manual description and on the panel as pitot heat - and doesn't work in my case, just a short light up of the scale (with no pointer).

To be honest - it's not that much bad with the analogous vario alternative.

Best regards
Quax

Btw: pls. move this as admin to the right thread
