8 minutes before...? Before moving the aircraft? Or before proceeding any further with setting generator switches, turning off the APU and so forth?

Hi:

The time refers to the time the engines should idle after firing. Generators can be connected immediatly after startup. All checks can be completed, APU can be switched off. Taxiing has to wait.
In M model time is 5 minutes and the virtual "FI" will announce "one minute to warmup" "engines are warmed up".

Kind regards

Walter

Just a small question, that might differ by airline policies as well... But what I do, for example at Moscow, is starting engines while pushing back from the gate, having almost all systems set up with help of power from both GPU and APU, disconnecting GPU just before pushing back, while at non AES airports, I just start them at the gate with recommended procedures...

Are you supposed to start them by the gate, at pushback, or after pushback? And then set up all the systems needing excess power../?
