Hi:

The easy part is to squeeze in a FMC like MIRAGE (in the film cited) or the GARMIN 530.

BUT: the AP of the PT-"Tushka" will never "obey" a "foreign" FMC same for the 134. Therefore you must fly by GPS KLN90B on AP and do the other inputs by hand. If you like you see your progress on the FMC`s moving map display.

Regards

Walter

P.: The Garmins 530 and 480 can change the frequencies of the VORs in PT-Tu planes (154 and 134) and they show you the STARs of the FS9 GPS database.

The FMC (and the other glass display) in the video you've posted is from the Integrated Simavionics suite (isgsim.com). They are relatively easy to integrate into a panel, and can "drive" the heading bug in most panels (e.g. when you have the autopilot in "heading select" mode, or whatever the Russian aircraft equivalent is..).

However, (like Walter said) it doesn't always work well with really advanced custom autopilots like the TU-154M. I'm really new to the TU-154, but when I get to know it better I'll try integrating these gauges and see if I can get it to work like in the video.

Cheers!

Hi Ken:

At least the developers are convinced, that a FMC will never drive the heading bug in the Tu-154. But besides that, integrating your flightplan into the KLN90B and a FMC is no great afair and the KLN90B drives the AP. But besides that the Tu-154 and 134 dont have altitude acquire built in, another setback for using a FMC as it is intended to be used.
Грусть
In practice it works like in the first years of GPS in real airplanes:
The AP flew the plane as ever and the pilots looked at their handheld GARMIN, TRIMBLE or whatever checking their progress. This gave them an additional source of information and distraction! Смех

AND
The real Tu-154 had a FMC, which could drink tea and make jokes on long flights and was sitting behind the pilots.Улыбка Something our PT-Tu-154 doesnt have.

Happy weekend!

Walter
